Time is flying...

I can hardly believe that July is over and Vivi is now 6 months old. The days go so fast and two kids definitely keep a Mama hopping. I really don't have a lot of news to share, mostly just a few pictures. Our month was a blur of airports (Rob), hospitals (me), and eating, sleeping, screaming, eating, playing, movie watching, laughing, and growing (them).

We are counting down the days till our vacation. We can hardly wait to see the family and have some much needed R&R...not to mention many many more adults to help us watch the kids so we can breathe a bit.

Vivi the hungry was my latest science project. I gave her a bunch of random food just to see what she would eat. She pretty much slobbered on everything and had a great time.


Her hair is now long enough for the pig-tails so yesterday we piggied her up. Daddy loves this style on her. I still prefer the one little antennae but have to admit, when she smiles...everything is beautiful...even pig-tales.

Sweet Baby Angel

This past week we were fortunate enough to have the glimmer of new life, but it was not meant to be. Our new little light went out this weekend. I am doing fine and we plan to try again sometime later down the road.

Just wanted to let everyone know.

Just a note...

In case anyone is still checking up on me here...I wanted to let you know what's going on.

I reached my 1st weight loss goal on 7/6 and weighed 159.6. That is awesome and exciting.

Now to complicate matters, on 7/5, I found out that I was pregnant.

Rob went out of town on Thurs 7/9 and on that evening I started spotting.

Friday I spent 3 hours in the ER trying to determine if I was miscarrying. They took a blood test to check my HCG levels and I have an appt to go back to the Dr on Monday to see if they are increasing or decreasing. If they increase I am still pregnant but if they remained unchanged or decreased, I lost the baby. I passed a largish clot on Fri evening and I believe that I did indeed miscarry.

I'm in a holding pattern until Monday.

And the blessings abound...

The Lord said something like…go forth and multiply…so we did…AGAIN!!!

Surprised? Yes!

Excited? Absolutely!

Scared out of my mind? HELL YES!!!!!!!!!

Hooray for never getting more than you can handle.

God is funny.

Family Update - June 2009

This past month has been very busy for our little family. Rob is getting ready to go on a “trip” so he has been working a lot. He is leaving Tues for about 6 weeks. Then when he gets home we get to go on vacation! We are headed to CA to visit family and take a cruise to Mexico with my Mom, sister, and brother. We have 20 days to spend as a family before we head back to Japan and Rob is off on another “trip”.

I am on a weight loss kick so I am reading food labels and going to the gym. I joined a gym co-op so I can work out and share babysitting duties with a group of Moms. It works out great; I babysit 3 days a month and get to work out 2 hours a day for the rest of the month while other Mom’s babysit my kids. I’ve lost about 18 pounds in the past 11 weeks. ..It’s working out great! I’m gearing up now for my first stint as a single parent of 2 children. It should be a challenge, but I’m prepared…I think! :)
